Biography

Viktor Oliynyk was born in the town Volnogorsk, Dnipropetrovsk province, Ukraine.
Having graduated Dniprodzerjynsk Musical College, he entered Donetsk Prokofiev State Conservatoire into docent Lyudmila Popova conductors’ class.
Since 1999 Viktor Oliynyk continued mastering conducting at Kyiv Tchaikovsky Music Academy at the department of symphonic and opera conducting in the class of Professor, People Artist of Ukraine R.Kofman.
In 2002 he was qualified as Conductor of Symphonic Orchestra of Opera and Ballet Theatre.
Since 2002 and up till now Viktor Oliynyk is conductor of Donetsk Prokofiev Symphonic Orchestra at Donetsk Provincial Philharmonia.
Viktor Oliynyk is conductor at the Open Competition for soloists and orchestra "Hope. Pride. Future", International Festival "Piano Forum" founded by People Artist of Russia M.Voskresensky and "Crystal Strings" Festival.
Repertoire of Viktor Oliynyk includes pieces of different epochs and styles. Maestro is always keen on discovering the new pieces, on perceiving composer’s ideas. His creative urges result in original concert programmes. Symphonic classical masterpieces are followed by premieres of modern pieces, author evenings of young composers trying their skills are kept in line with works of famous authors, who represent different and already settled stylistic and musical technological trends.
Viktor Oliynyk has tight artistic contacts with Shànghǎi Philharmonia Symphonic Orchestra, Shànghǎi Opera and Ballet Theatre Orchestra (China), Donetsk Solovyanenko Opera and Ballet Academic Orchestra, Dnipropetrovsk Opera and Ballet Academic Orchestra and “Milonga” Chamber Orchestra. There were number of successful programmes and performances.
Viktor Oliynyk is not bound to one place and is looking forward to take part in any musical event or to collaborate with any orchestra whose wish is to serve Her Majesty Music
